Chiefs lock up Damien Williams

Cautiously optimistic. He's performed well here thus far. Problem is he's a career sub-4.0ypc back and that's the most concerning thing to me. I wanted the Chiefs to retain him but I'm hoping about half of that 8.1 is performance based.

Yes, dipshit. Prior to coming here he averaged 3.6. Re-read my entire sentence and then take the time to go ahead and process it. What you'll find is that I stated that I'm "cautiously optimistic" because of that past performance. You'll also learn that I hope, because of that past, the contract's "max value" is half performance incentives so that if he does revert to prior form the Chiefs are protected in a way.
