It was probably just curious since attacks are rare. Still scary as hell and also earned my respect knowing it was probably trailing me for quite some time before I noticed it. I seriously doubt I would have been able to make a clean shot with my bow if it did decide to charge.

yeah it honestly looked like they were just curious. I fired my rifle at the ground close them and it scared them off, but if all three decided they wanted to do something to me im not sure what would have happened.

I'd say worse case scenario two start climbing the tree and you start kicking at them but one bites your ankle then you lose your grip and tumble hitting every branch and your lip gets snagged and then you hit the ground with a thump and the third one pounces on the back of your neck but your able to get him off only to have the other two jump and unleash holy hell claws on your face and tear flesh from your skin and you bleed and they eat you practically alive but you scamper away limping and you see a road try to flag a car but it doesn't see you in time and you get hit by a car and I'm sorry your dead.

Bobcats arent big enough to take on a grown human. In Missouri they scram pretty quik at encounters with humans. They aren't much larger the a very big domestic cat. I have ran across them in field surveying they are pretty wary and mostly hunt at night.

I ran across a bobcat on a running trail a couple of years ago, but I'm not sure it outweighed my biggest house cat. So I wasn't worried about it at all.

That said, my biggest house cat savaged me a couple of times just playing around, so it wouldn't be fun to be attacked by a 15-pound bobcat. Not fatal, but not fun.

I suppose if it was rabid it might have taken you on but their prey is rabbit sized.
