It was so disturbing that Brady said he didn't notice. But I'm glad to hear Kansas City has reduced crime to the point that they can devote resources to tracking down and prosecuting perpetrators of horrific, juvenile stunts.

So if someone in Foxboro did something with a laser pointer that could potentially cause permanent eye damage to Mahomes, that would be nothing anyone should care about either?

Not really, no. If it's easy to find the guy, then throw him in the slammer for a night, but don't devote a several month long investigation into this kind of crap.

Ok, well at least you're fair.

IMHO it's a pretty bad idea to let someone get away with this. It isn't the punishment of this guy that matters, it's really the effect of hopefully deterring others from engaging in the same bullshit conduct.

You're right. If there's no consequences then more d bags will start doing this. Just like in Buffalo where they keep throwing effigies of Goodell onto the field when NE plays there. Most people here are smart enough to realize that.

It's one thing to joke around and make up silly nonsense to justify losing, but when idiots escalate to potentially blinding players, tossing batteries, ice balls, or beer on players... We see the true character of the individuals.

The last time the Bills played in Foxboro, some Patriots fans I know had a motorized beer cart with Patriots logos on it, and they drove it to a group of Bills fans across the way to bust balls. It came back with a giant dildo stuck on top.

Yeah, those tiny ones are called "Little Rogers." Some lady Bills fan was disappointed that night...

So you're saying that Bills fans just happened to have that on them?

The reason for an investigation is that someone who would do this might escalate his/her behavior into something like shining a laser into a pilot's eyes during a landing.

Obviously the person doing this has little regard for the well-being of other people, and until the person is located, the potential for even greater harm is still extant.

You're right.

Laser pointing is a gateway crime.

I don't think it's a bad idea to send a message that it's not going to be tolerated. Seem to be a lot more incidents with fans these days feeling they can do whatever they want with players. The snowball one really bothered me. If he hit that punter, the Colts would have gotten a first down. Fan interference has zero place in the game let alone being dangerous. More than anything it sends the message to fans to stop doing dumb things as if they can't get caught.

The snowball thing pissed me off in that the league would dare attempt to even come down on such a harmless thing. It's a snowball for ****'s sake; it's not killing anyone in a helmet and pads. Who are you going to ascribe the penalty to? Are you going to watch a "replay" from the stands? And you make a call against it? You deserve to get pelted by the entire ****ing stadium.

You do NOT put the head coach in a position of having to wag his finger at the fans because that's when things can get real interesting and ugly.

You want to send these guys out to play in a snow storm, in falling snow so thick that the field has to be cleared during commercials? Then accept ALL the elements and don't be a bitch about it.

Don't you think that's a little melodramatic? I'm pretty sure those laser pointers don't cause permanent eye damage.

There are consumer available laser pointers that can cause eye damage from hundreds of feet away?
