Has there ever been a more insecure QB than Baker Mayfield?

Can’t believe this guy is still being looked at as a “future star”. If anybody should be compared to Jay Cutler, it’s him.

Actually..he’s worse

He talked shit on the Texas QB while he’s in the NFL, he took shots at his old coach who wasn’t even with the team anymore and continued doing it in the offseason, he talked shit on Rex Ryan and now he’s talking shit on Instagram comments.

Good God you dumb mother****er. You would think he spends as much time doing this petty bullshit as he does studying for a game.

He has shown talent, but man this guy is not someone you want on your team when things aren’t going well.

More reason to be thankful we have Mahomes.

Sounds like Cleveland wants to hire Josh McDaniels. He could be the right guy to save Baker from being a mega bust.

Might actually be the best spot for him to take his second shot as HC.

Seems his run-in with the vendor wasn't the only dust-up Baker had this weekend. From the Athletic...

After throwing his third interception of the afternoon and 21st of the season, Baker Mayfield walked slowly toward the sideline and into the grasp of Freddie Kitchens, who said from the start of spring practice he just wanted his brash young quarterback to be himself.

Mayfield and his coach briefly embraced. Then, in a fit of frustration, the quarterback slammed his helmet to the turf.

He stewed for the final seconds of a dreadful season-ending 33-23 loss to the hapless Bengals before exchanging pleasantries with several Cincinnati players, including Joe Mixon. Upon filing into the locker room with teammates, the face of the franchise took issue with an overzealous stadium vendor who momentarily had been stopped by security to let the Browns players pass.

“Let’s go, Bengals!” the vendor yelled. “Bengals! Whoo!”

The man repeated the chant at least 40 times, but only one player bothered to acknowledge the taunts. Mayfield stuck his head out and shouted, “You better ****ing relax, man.”

Team staffers quickly shepherded the agitated quarterback into the room while a security guard told the vendor to chill: “You’ve had your fun.”

That is how a season of great expectation ended for Mayfield: his rabbit ears on high alert.

Baker is such a little bitch. He has to know that he’s going to get heckled mercilessly when he acts the way he does. Being a brash shit talker is fine, but you have to go back it up. When your team AND YOU ****ing suck, this is what happens.

Mahomes never gives any team bulletin board material. He’s about as gracious as they come. He handles interviews EXACTLY as a franchise QB should.

Mayfield is a total chode and deserves all of the hate he receives.

Can't imagine a worse option for baker. They don't need an arrogant egomaniac managing baker. He'd be better at disciplining baker but would also bring the worst out of him. My sense is that the Haslams want McDaniels. I don't think anyone else does.

After reading the story someone posted here (or on another thread on CP) about the Haslam's from a couple weeks ago I could totally see them being the puppets behind the whole Kitchens fiasco and whatever comes next. I could also see Dorsey not wanting to ever get into another pissing match with a coach and aiming low in their search for a coach.

I didn't realize this, but depodesta pushed for McDermott while Dee haslem insisted on keeping hue Jackson. Over and over and over again. Then depodesta wanted Stefanski instead of kitchens (the Haslams wanted McDaniels). Putting two and two together... If the Browns go with McDaniels, it's because the Haslams are again in control. And that has to be bad news for the entire browns front office.

Great point -- the lack of talent and eventual implosion will be glorious to watch...

LOL ... Mayfield as a leader ...

I mean, who in the living hell wants to follow a guy into a rumble with a few thousand drunken, pissed-off fans and a squad of stadium vendors?

"Okay, guys! Here's the deal. We attack at dawn. I call it Operation Market Garden!! Who's with me?"
