you are not wrong. we were lucky. but others weren't. but i will tell you what, the programs are in place, and with the sheer luck of all this rain in the last 45 days, is going to go a long way towards helping the recovery.

we went six months without mowing the yard it was so dry. in the last month, we have had to mow three times.

if only we could get the red cross out of the way. they still haven't learned from Katrina.

i will take some video of some of our hardest hit areas (still not near what others went thru). you can see the amount of flames that scorched the trees. street signs bolts melting which allowed them to curl like a pigs tail.

but yet, you see the regrowth first. it is flat out amazing.

a really bad bump in the road, but we manage well during crisis.

the name wasn't familiar till i did a quick search.. i did watch part of a video he made the other day...

can't recall which vid, but...

during all these bushfires there are a couple of truths:

almost 200 people were arrested for arson during the crisis.

and in fact, there were policies in place that restricted controlled burns during the winters that could have mitigated to a degree, the severity of this years burn.
