There are just too many unanswered questions to take him at #32 overall when there are plenty of players left that could contribute in Week 1.
Wow didn’t know this. Pretty sure that means he’s falling. Especially in this draft

Yep. Now, if he's there at 96, that's a different story but at #32 overall?

That's a huge and unnecessary risk.

Right. I think Baun can be very nice player but he would fit in much better on a defense like the Ravens.

It’s actually reportedly not supposed to affect his draft status, and Baun is by all account a great character guy. Seems like this was an issue for a lot of guys this year.

He wasn’t my choice (Delpit), but Baun would be a solid pick at 32. A lot of people mistakenly label him an edge rusher, but he projects better off the ball in a versatile role that takes advantage of his skill set. Dude can play the run, drop into coverage, and get after the QB. He’d be another chess piece for Spags to use on Sunday’s.

He’s a more athletic version of Schobert with more upside as a situational pass rusher.

Wrong. Stop basing your opinion on a couple of random scouting reports.

Plenty of experts (and more reliable) think he will be best off the ball and specifically have said Spags scheme and ability to take advantage of versatile defenders is a perfect fit for him.

The dude tested positive for a diluted sample, so taking him in the first round creates an extreme risk.

Like I said this was reportedly an issue for a lot of guys due to the changes to the combine and isn’t supposed to affect their draft status.

From the sounds of it, there’s not much concern at all.

If teams aren't concerned about a college player that tested positive for a diluted sample and haven't either bumped him way down or removed them from their board altogether, they're taking a huge risk.

Plus, what kind of moron uses steroids, knowing that he'll be tested at The Combine?

Either Baun is a cheater that cheated his way through college or he's a moron, thinking he can fool the NFL in terms of steroid use.

Whatever the case may be, there's no chance I'd take him at #32 because you just don't know what you're getting with him.

There were a very unusual amount of diluted samples this year and they’re reportedly due to the changes at the combine. This isn’t the issue that you think it is. Trust me.

That's an opinion, not a fact.

There is absolutely no reason to trust Baun after he tested positive and that goes for every other unnamed player that tested positive.

And nowhere in that report does it quote an NFL scout or GM saying "No biggie".

It’s not a coincidence that this happened the year that they made big changes to the combine.

It’s a very strange occurrence until you hear that reasoning. Now it makes sense. Especially when you include the fact that NFL teams are reportedly not concerned and it’s not supposed to affect his draft status. If teams are buying their excuse, why shouldn’t we?

We don't know that teams are buying that excuse but we'll know soon enough.

As I previously stated, I wouldn't take a guy in the first round that tested positive for a diluted sample because it raises too many questions that really can't be answered at this point in time.

Now, if Zaun tested for THC, I wouldn't change his status but PED's usage? Absolutely.

There's no way I'd take him at #32 because you just don't know what you're getting.

2020 Senior Bowl on NFLN at 4CT.

Really dunno how many of the guys being thrown around in this thread are actually playing, but worth a watch anyhow. Didn't watch it at the time because, ya know, sports were normal and the Senior Bowl doesn't matter. But now I'm looking forward to it. It's football and it's essentially live to me.
