Webster House had amazing biscuits and gravy. I think their ingredients were locally sourced as much as possible, and thus drove up the price a bit. At least that was the story my waitress told us the first time. The building and location are cool. Both times I went, the service was pretty slow, and they weren't terribly busy. The shop on the first floor sold a lot of goods that felt like they belonged in a shop in Westport, but certainly not the Plaza.
My second time there, I went there with a couple from JoCo who would probably fit the description of yuppies. All the guy did was bitch about the price and scoff at the limited drink menu. There are a lot of yuppie places in that area, but I'm not sure I'd label Webster House that way. Maybe that was actually part of their problem. |
