Is Cam Newton better than Tom Brady? They still don’t have any weapons. Their OL is still below average.

Did they not lose some key pieces on defense like Van Noy?

Depending on their line. A good running game and a mobile QB will keep the chains moving. Just hit a few short passes for balance.

Tom was mostly protect at all cost and him hit hronk or the open guy.

If Bill can get ahold of his ego they may win an extra game or two. Or someone's QB goes down in the short training camp or early season and trade.

Pats have nothing to lose.

Did you fail to see Tom Brady play football last year? Cam is going to be as healthy as hes been since entering the league. I expect a quasi revitalization of his career. Cam, unlike Lamar Jackson, can actually throw a football.

Cams last full season he had a 94 QB rating in 14 games in 2018. Throwing to guys named DJ Moore and Devin Funchess. While having some injury issues if I recall.

Also, we've seen how inventive McDaniels can be and I'm sure hes anxious to mold his offense differently after being hamstrung by a 42 yr old noodle armed statue of Tom Brady last year.

Brady’s arm was dying in December last year and he’s a statue.

But let’s ignore all of that and focus on mobility when Cam can’t even stay healthy if he uses his legs too much.

Cam Newton has played in at least 14 regular season games 8 out of 9 seasons. Nobody is saying he will be as good as Lamar.

He's only 5 years removed from taking his team to a 15-1 record and a Super Bowl appearance throwing to return specialist Ted Ginn Jr and Jerricho Cotchery.

Uhh... LIKE Van Noy? They lost Van Noy (who was a nobody before getting into their system) and Jamie Collins (who was a failure before getting back into their system). That's about it. The Pats were the #1 D in yards allowed AND points allowed. You telling me Van Noy was THAT good?

He's replacing the 24th-best QB last season. If he's healthy, you don't think he can do better? If the Patriots had a healthy Cam last season or an Andy Dalton, you don't think they do better?
