Did last night ruin the offseason for you?

For the first time as a Chiefs fan, I honestly don’t care about free agency or the draft. I’m so ****ing pissed, I honestly want to ignore the NFL for the next few months. No combine or anything only makes that moreso the case.

Maybe I’ll get over it and get excited when we start making moves, but right now I have absolutely no interest in keeping up with everything in the offseason.

It just seemed like we weren’t there mentally. The first error with Mecole on that deep pass, then the second where he wasn’t even looking for the ball on that sideline pass.

Then after that we had a shot for a first down on a great pass but Kelce was open and had an awful drop.

Then the punter dropped the ball.

Then we made some absolutely stupid mistakes like an offsides penalty and Chris Jones being baited.

We were just not there mentally

It pains me that Mecole is not thriving in an offense where 80% of the defense's effort is spent on 2 other dudes.

Using route running to gain separation on a DB is a critical skill for WR's.

Mecole just can't be trusted to do it right now.

He also lacks football IQ/understanding when it comes to adjusting his routes based on the coverage he's [not] seeing.

He's basically a really fast guy with decent hands. We need more football players like Kelce, Reek, and CEH.

Yup. I was really hoping I was wrong when we passed on Terry McLaurin but Mclaurin is a real #1.

Yep, he would have been Al Davis' wet dream. A track star pretending to be a receiver.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but this game was similar to another game earlier in the playoffs.

LA demolished Seattle's high powered offense by dominating the line of scrimmage. Russell Wilson had nowhere to go with the football. Didn't have enough time. Couldn't get the ball to his targets.

We were a fire breathing dragon in the AFC Title game. We were flying around with swagger and confidence.

That team never showed up for the Super Bowl.

Just really bizarre.

When I saw all the drops, the penalties, the horrid line play, and then the final straw was our punter shanking 25 yard kicks off the side of his foot. I knew we were having no good juju.
I lost it once. I think it was the first quarter when Hardman quit on a route and Mahomes threw it to where he would have been if he kept running. I stopped watching with about 6 minutes left in the first half. Didn't check the score once until the next day. I was a little down but over it now.

Its gotta be the Britt Reid thing, nothing else makes much sense IMO

You wouldn't think it'd affect the players to the same degree as Andy, but it seems to have somehow cast a pall over the whole damn team

The defense forced two consecutive punts, with one being a 3-and-out.

They absolutely showed up. And then the penalties started.

I'm pretty confident that Hardman ****ed the offensive game plan to hell and back and we never really recovered from it. It seemed like he was going to be the focus of the offense early game while Hill and Kelce had the attention of 4 defenders and he just let us down over and over and over. Let off the throttle on what could've been a TD and failed to get his head around twice. After that Mahomes seemed to abandon him except for a couple of plays down the stretch where he failed to do anything of significance once again and actually fell down on what may have been a big gain play. Not to mention his horrific offsides.
