Hardman and Gay are the conventional picks for most improved player but I think Tershawn Wharton could be that guy.

People forget he was undersized for a DT. He came from a small school during covid and was still awesome last year. He didn’t have a lot of sacks but he did put up a lot of pressures.

He’s now gone through a real NFL training program with a year under his belt. I could easily see this dude putting up 5 or more sacks this year.

Jones played very good as DE last year and was actually pretty good vs the run. That’s my biggest concern with him is playing the run

If you’re right (and I think you are), the Chiefs pass rush will surprise a lot of people.

Jones, Reed, Clark, and Wharton could each produce 5+ sacks with Jones at 10+ and Reed/Clark around 8. That’s a pretty disruptive front 4 for passing downs.

We’ll be playing with a lot of leads again this year, so those guys will be able to get after it a lot.
