Something I’ve always wondered. Phil recoiled from that butt bump. If it was just a butt bump, maybe he gets startled a bit and takes a step back, but not like this.

Ya’ll think Big Red farted on him? I think so. That’s the only logical explanation.

This is posted on Rivers' locker.

One Wally blast
And you are gassed
Your eyes get glassed
And your mind aghast

One Wally fart
And you'll depart
Your nostrils smart
And you beg for the cart

When Wally blows
You hate your nose
Your heart rate slows
And you can't make throws

So take this to heart
If you are smart
Stay far apart
From the Wally fart

I believe he's gonna be a stud and you don't? Ok then let's wait and see as all we're doing is projecting anyway.
He looks to be a decent receiver but Detox is right, he will have to learn to block. If he can't do that then he won't play, period. QBs change the blocking assignments at the LOS all the time. As a matter of fact, I was just looking at a play from the other night where Henne had Fortson do just that because of a blitzing safety. And Fortson kind of whiffed on it. He ended up grabbing the defender but luckily it didn't get called.

Soren Petro said yesterday that the Chiefs should’ve walked on Chris Jones, because the team has such a small margin for error due to that contract and paying too many guys.

It’s so ****ing funny to have a local sports media talking head have such a philosophical difference of opinion with the most successful sports franchise in town. I’m sure their ratings are better when they disagree, but good lord. Who takes this shit serious?

It isn't just him. It's the PFF approach. It's a great way to end up with a deep roster that doesn't have a lot of difference makers.

When you're drafting at the bottom of the 1st every year, you have to lock up some studs and also be creative about acquiring those stud pieces - i.e. trade 1st round picks for them.

Not all drafts and not all 1st round picks are created equal. A concept some seem to not grasp.

I am with Petro on the “load up on draft picks” plan. But later picks.

We’ve had a lot of success there. Build that roster depth

Do they have people call in? Every call has got to be people chewing out this dumb asshole.

Our entire pass rush hinges on Chris Jones. Petro is basically obese Keitzman at this point.

It was the Seahawks approach and it didn’t work. Look at their first picks since the Russell Wilson draft:

Christine Michael
Paul Richardson
Frank Clark
Germain Ifedi
Malik McDowell
Rashaad Penny
LJ Collier

No wonder they changed course and gave up 1st rd picks for Jamal Adams

Stupid statement for sure and also misses another point. If you want other players to want to come here as a possible FA then you have to take care of your studs to have that reputation.

You can't just pay everyone what they want but good grief Jones is a stud that you certainly want to keep.
