I understand both sides here, at least initially. But I think JakeF has made a competent case that he didn't intend as it came off.

Do what you want, but it seems decent to chalk it up to an inarticulate expression of a decent sentiment that appeared without context to be heartless or pessimistic.

He's cleared up his intention to my mind, and piling on after that point sways things to the reacting parties being the aggressors.

I think the issue here is whether we're anti-Canada, and I think we're not. Canada, Cancun, whatever you want to call it. We're pro cans.

That seems feasible.

I envision most of physical Canada as being an ice-age habitat. When I eventually retire I'm going to buy a bunch of fur stuff and a spear and I'm going to move up there and embrace the lifestyle of my distant ancestors.

Sneed definitely won't be right for awhile. Losing a sibling prematurely in a tragic way is the worst. It's definitely going to be a struggle. I hope football and the locker room can help him. I'm glad he's on this team to have the support.

He'll need those few days...it will be a long time before he moves on.

I'm sure being with his teammates will help a ton. I really hope this Chiefs can get to the SB for him and win it

Everyone grieves differently. And there’s no timetable for this.

My wife and I had a very tragic circumstance a few months back (I prefer not to elaborate).

She needed time to talk and reflect. She needed warmth and time away from the typical day-to-day.

I needed to just get back to my usual routine.

No idea what LJ needs right now, but he needs to take care of his family and himself first. Football is so far down the list right now

"My childish response" was based on what the Sneed family thought, not my idea.

Just because you annoying mother****ers didn't read the story, don't yell at me about it.

Just shows that a certain group of people on this board jump at the chance to insult people, before even knowing what they are talking about.

You’re the man.

And I empathize with you. I know exactly how you feel.

Pardon me, this is irrelevant but it kinda relates to your situation in how people gang up on others and display favouritism for posts in which they shouldn’t. Some people on here display poor judgement. Ganging up on others, showing favouritism is more important and clouds good judgement unfortunately for many on here.

Btw, there was nothing wrong with that post of yours. Unfortunately, you were a target for whatever reason it doesn’t make any sense.

Anyways, I know I’m rambling but I had a similar situation where a poster here (I won’t name him and if he is reading this I don’t care) saying he wanted to meet me at the hy-vee gate at Arrowhead and beat the beat **** out of me.

There were also other posts of him saying if I ever crossed the border his buddy would make sure I’d eat out of a straw. A mod saw it and did nothing.

There were people here that approved of such posts. I couldn’t ****ing believe it!

**** this place is disgusting!

Some people actually thought his posts were okay but it’s not. It’s cyber bullying, cyberthreats and harassment. This place is too free for freedom of expression that it goes way too far and out of hand.

There are no rules and regulations on how to treat each other on here. It’s almost as if this place has its own set of rules and culture and apparently abuse is okay.

If you can’t take it, the sharks notice come out of the water and attack you and gang up on you. I’m led to believe people anticipate for that sh*t on here and they love it if they could rattle you. Bunch of insecure bastards!

They’re also prejudice too. I’m from Canada and apparently I’m a target just for that alone. My personality, character the type of person I am automatically gets disqualified.

Because I’m from Canada in their eyes I suck. Yeah? How about getting to know me? Do they actually know me well enough to make that judgement? Nope. A lot of them behave that way and they reek of ignorance.

But oh it’s chiefsplanet, you have to have a thick skin around here, just roll with the punches yadayada. **** being a human being and having feelings is not important. Right?

When you post here it’s no different then getting punched in the face. You’re vulnerable to abuse and harassment. Even for expressing an opinion. The guy I had an argument with all started over a topic about pizza!! You believe that? He was the instigator. And I never said anything wrong and he tells me to go shove a bottle of maple syrup up my ass. And I told him **** you.

I’d like to see him talk to someone like that on the streets and most likely he is going to get knocked the **** out! And sadly, it wouldn’t surprise me the way some people talk here wouldn’t dare to talk the way they do to people in person. The only reason they do it is because it’s the internet and they know they could get away with it.

That guy that who spoke to me like that, man, he should be charged or the mods should do something but naw it’s chiefsplanet and they will not do anything. I have no vote of confidence for them.

But It’s okay he is likeable around here. I sense favouritism over rationality over what is actually right and wrong here. I didn’t post for several days because of the last experience I went through and what that prick put me through on here.

As a society I think we’ve evolved into being sensitive and politically correct but I don’t think Chiefsplanet has modernized themselves in that sense or adapted kept up with the times to the worlds ways over what is okay to Say and what is not.

This place, the reason Im here is to lurk for Chiefs news and that is all it is good for.

But aside from that, the way people treat each other here blows hardcore. You express an opinion it’s okay for people to disagree or agree with you but man to attack and abuse someone over an opposing opinion that’s just ****ing nonsense but apparently that seems tolerable around here. I wish they could grab that last bastard I spoke to and ban his ass or at least give him a warning. Or perhaps, I’ll take the matter in my own hands and report to cyberpolice? How about that eh?

Elsewhere or in most places stuff that is said around here wouldn’t fly. It’ll lead to either an altercation, or some sort of consequence of some kind.

I rarely post on here and I’m okay with that. I’ll lurk that’s about it. As you can see, it’s reflective in the amount of posts I have. Been a member here since the early 2000s but have little interest making friends or engaging in conversations around here.

If anybody ever asked me about Chiefsplanet (which I highly doubt but you never know?) I wouldn’t recommend it. I would speak negative about it. Negativity is what this place breeds because logically speaking it should weed out the assholes that cross the line but fails to do so. I think it accepts them more than anything and those assholes are responsible for making this a sh*tty place. They get away with murder around here. It’s just not right and makes this place look disgusting.

*P.S. thank you JakeF for motivating me to post. I know it’s not relevant to your post and sorry for trying to turn this thread in my direction/attention. I do think our situations are somewhat related in that assholes like to gang up, display favouritism and poor judgement and that is why I posted to tie our examples together.

Once again, I truly empathize with you. Way to stand up for yourself!
JakeF is Bricks?

Or

JakeF is ****ing Bricks?

Bricks wrote a long whiny post for what reason other then to cry and act like he's picked on for nothing other than being a dumb bitch?

Well Bricks I know personally I hate you because of how big of a douche bag you were during the Royals/Blue Jays playoff series and after your shitty team got their asses handed to them you ran off like a little Canadian bitch and hid out for awhile. You remember that, eh?

A few guys have found comfort in playing football after they've lost a loved one. You're right, we don't know what he is going to want to do or need to do, but I hope he doesn't feel like he has to play or anything like that.
