I am actually stunned by the ferocity of the weeping. For whatever reason, Allen has really become a folk hero to the media. I suppose it has to do with the idea that the Bills fans "deserve" a ring.

Emotion overrides rational thought. Either way, one QB was going to get "screwed" last night per the current rules. As I said earlier, this outrage is less about the rule itself but more about Allen. No media hacks are weeping if Alex Smith or Jimmy G are left sitting on the bench without a shot.
