The Athletic's Greg Auman believes that impending free agents Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones are both likely to depart Tampa Bay.

Fournette posted on Instagram on Tuesday, thanking his teammates and fans and notably referring to his time with the Buccaneers in the past tense. The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud viewed it as a sign that Fournette is anticipating moving on. Fournette's departure could theoretically open up an opportunity for Jones, but Jones was barely used in any capacity for most of 2021 and seems very likely to hit the open market. If both running backs depart, Ke'Shawn Vaughn would step in as the Buccaneers starter, for the time being at least. Auman expects that the Buccaneers will ultimately draft a running back or bring in another veteran to help fill out their depth chart. Still, Vaugn looks like a worthwhile best ball dart throw. Fournette is unlikely to take full control of his next backfield the way he did in Tampa Bay, but the 27-year-old is a capable receiver and goal-line presence.

Fournette can do everything! I love the thought of Fournette on the Chiefs, he can catch, he can run, he is great on the goal line. Especially with our O line!

Here is our chance to fix the CEH miss. What say you?

it sounds nice however the Chiefs have bigger needs than spending another draft pick on a RB. CEH seems more MEH than anything else and seems to be injury prone however I believe (know) that even with a great RB, we know if given the choice, the ball is going to be thrown rather than ran.

What I don't understand is: if's it's as easy as dropping 8 into coverage and forcing a team to beat you running the ball instead of their highly paid star quarterback throwing the ball, why doesn't every team just do it? Why was it so effective against the Chiefs?

You know, the ones that matter. Where you said he would actually PRODUCE for the team. And how he was actually like 3rd or 4th on the depth chart and a better player than Robinson.

Because Andy Reid doesn't like committing to the run.
The 2022 season is going to be defenses dropping 8 and tempting the Chiefs to run the ball. If it takes this team 8 ****ing weeks to learn how to run the ball, I may puke.

I said I felt he had the TALENT to be better than D-Rob and Pringle but he was never given a chance was he? Being new to the system Andy chose the vets so it is what it is.
