Unless your position is we should have drafted Mahomes in High School.

All I ever said was that Alex wasn't the problem, at the time . . . Did we fix that problem of giving up double-digit leads in the playoffs after he left?
We floundered around with Alex for 5 years, netting one measly playoff win and never making it past the Divisional Round in the process. We made the switch to Mahomes and coincidentally found ourselves in the AFC Championship game that same year and hoisting the Lombardi just one year after that.

Alex was a decent QB and a great stabilizer for the franchise at the time, but he was clearly the limiting factor when the lights were the brightest.

Ah, but then four seasons after he left, the Chiefs blew a double digit lead in the playoffs, and so therefore, uh, Ari Gold for le epic win or something???

So your position is we should have drafted Mahomes in 2014?

It's so so funny that you think this inane rhetoric is some kind of epic gotcha. Classic dumb-guy-who-thinks-he's-smart shit.

I'll put this in terms you might understand: you've got Gob Bluth's attitude and Buster Bluth's intellect

Tannehill? Geno? Manziel?

What's your solution? And would you stand behind it if they decided they had too much invested in that solution to gamble on Mahomes in 2017?

It's not a gotcha, it's reality.

Hint: "Alex Smith was a limited QB who held back the Chiefs offense" and "Other QBs who were available at the time were not better than Alex Smith" are not mutually exclusive statements.

Also, the blue on the map is water

Vegas dropped our SB odds all the way from +800 to +850. In other words: they don’t even care Ty is gone.

Should I trust professional oddsmakers with real money on the line....or a Fade goofball on a message board?

I’d be willing to bet that their pick in the first next year was on the table and we opted to take a second rounder and the fourth this year instead.

I’m fine with the draft pick compensation. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see us move back into the second round from one of their picks in the first to stockpile another pick in the late third or early fourth. That’s a JUICY part of this draft.

I'm liking the trade more and more because holy shit we can score 3 o 4 guys just from his trade that can be starters and make an impact.

Edge rusher two beefy D line a WR and work the defense on CB Safety get another swing tackle and man this is going work out in the long run if Chiefs fans can be patient in developing these guys. Like last year we started out slow and won the division. I think our offense is actually going take off and Hardman and CEH are going have to step it up and I think they both will. This offensive line is too good not to have success whoever runs the ball.

I'm stoked. Thank You Tyreek for all you have done for us except the tipped interceptions but you scored big money and we got a haul in draft picks. Both sides should be happy.

It's more about the eye for the talent than the spot, I have been so used to wasted 1st rounders for so long I guess I assume everybody picks bad
