I would disagree with this, it was supposed to be a plot twist that she was actually going after Vader, but it was telegraphed from the very beginning. It's honestly probably not the actress's fault, but the entire character was handled poorly IMO.

Also I really wish they would stop with the "Jedi/Sith stopping ships from taking off with the force" bit. I mean why does Vader stop that ship, but doesn't even attempt to stop Leia's ship at the beginning of ANH, or attempt to stop the Millenium Falcon from leaving Hoth. And even if we look at the scene in Kenobi why is he able to stop the 1st ship but the 2nd ship behind it somehow he isn't able to stop.
