Maybe our DL is a lot better than we thought
From last week:



Now this week I saw this screen shot with a little under 5 mins left in the game.

39 drop backs
2 sacks
3 QB hits
6 hurries

Updated after the game ESPN app shows we have EIGHT QB hits. Damn our pressure seems a lot better this year. It’s mainly bc Karlaftis and Dunlap are way better than what Frank and Okafor gave us last year, Frank has been better and Mike ****ing Danna has played real well. What a surprise that man has been for us.

i absolutely have no idea what changed, but jones and nnadi were getting pushed around for 2.5 quarters, and then the entire defense seemed to go beast mode

Yeah, the Chargers suffered some injuries on the offensive line. But I'm still encouraged. Our defensive line didn't do squat against a terrible offensive line when they played Cincinnati in the AFCCG. If they had played in that game like they played tonight, the Chiefs would have been in the Superbowl again.

It was black and white between the first half and second half.

Still lots of room for improvement, but the Chargers should be asking themselves why it was only a 3 point game at halftime, that's the main reason they lost. Their vastly superior play in the 1st half didn't translate to points.

Noticeable improvement when Furious entered the game. Tempo picked up and they really started terrorizing Herbert.

Dana and CJ seemed to feed off of it.

I came away from that game feeling like Karlaftis needs to have the most snaps out of all of our DEs.

What the **** are you talking about? Did you see the stupid catches mike Williams was making? He looked like goddamn D-Hop out there. Every catch was heavily contested, and you can count on one hand the WRs that make those catches that damned fool made.

Just how the **** is that Spags fault? Our DBs were right there for just about every catch and most of the time they even took a swipe at the ball. MW just played out of his mind. You can't account for that as a DC, imo. JFC.
