But it won’t matter come playoff time, regardless of what happens. Between the Chiefs and Bills, we know which one shows up clutch when it matters.

I still think it’s a coin flip. Our secondary is young, but Bills have quite a few players coming back that have been injured and missed time and it’s doubtful lookimg at their practice participation this week that they’re 100%. I’d say injuries are a push at this point, but Butker is obviously the wild card for us (a damn kicker, smh).

It sucks not having Gay, but it’s hard to complain with the way D. Harris has filled in. While it’s a bit of a downgrade, it’s not that bad. Spags adjusted last week, and if he has to he will do the same this week.

I think at this point the Bills should absolutely be motivated. But don’t you think KC will be as well? While it’s a regular season game, Andy and Patrick also understand the implications of the being the loser. Pat will also be motivated by his first underdog at home in his career. How many times did Manning have motivation to beat Brady the next time, yet failed?

The best thing to do is look around at the poop show of other franchises. That should provide some good perspective for Buffalo & Kansas City fans at this point. Imagine being a Chicago fan or the Panthers, etc. There are least 20 fanbases in the league (maybe 25+ fanbases) that would love to trade places with Buffalo or KC fans. It's pretty appalling when you look at some of these teams. Bad QB's, bad coaches, bad GM/roster situation, etc.

no they're not - our back seven is depleted

we have a significant disadvantage now that didn't exist Week 1

buffalo is mostly healthy now, relatively speaking, outside of hyde being out

Great post and I agree.

Some posters are acting like missing a rookie CB that has played 2 quarters of football all year, plus a guy that i’ve seen several posters say is terrible for some reason (Fenton), and Gay is somehow some insurmountable injury list.

The Bills have 3 all-pro’s hurt. One might play but was limited this week in practice. And other injured players coming back will see their first game action in weeks.

Not to butt in, but it's the value of the players in question that's significant. BUF is getting back All-Pro caliber players, as well as seasoned backups, iirc.

The Chiefs are starting four players that weren't Chiefs last season, two of them rookies and one of those a 7th rd pick a few months ago. And their subs are the same deal.

KC's secondary was already struggling this season as all these new/rookie players have been digesting Spags' defense. Now with injuries, KC will have to make do with an even more limited playbook as well as young, inexperienced players that aren't as talented/physically gifted as our regular starters.

It's why I said at the beginning of the week that the Chiefs DL must get pressure on Josh to help out our secondary. If they can't, well, Diggs and Davis will probably have pretty big days.

The Bills are pretty much what they're going to be already, which is damned good.
