I hate to admit it, as a die hard american made guy, but i like how these look driving. I saw one pass by at the end of my street and thought it was a 4 door sports car or something.

I've never driven one, but I believe they get pretty good reviews and are priced well.... and I think it gets pretty damn good gas mileage for a 360hp V6, from what I remember.

Never driven one but ive always liked them. They had one at the dyno shop a few months back and they were tweaking the twin turbos. Thing sounded bad ass.

I really like them. They had one year with a pearl blue and a cream interior that I was thinking strongly about buying a couple years back but they're hard to find.

By all accounts they're great drivers cars. I know that Kia/Hyundai had REALLY done a nice job with those dual scroll turbos that greatly reduce turbo lag and give you really nice power earlier in the power band than, say, GM was getting. You're not getting peak power at 1,200 RPM or anything, but it's WELL below the 5K you're seeing on a lot of other turbos.

So I'll bet that twin turbo V-6 is a DAMN fun engine.

EDIT:

Here's an example for sale of the one I was eyeballing:

I test drove a BMW 3 series several years ago and the turbo lag on their 4 cylinder models just killed me... putting the pedal to the floor on the highway and drinking a cup of coffee before there was any response at all. I wouldn't have even cared THAT much about lag at a light changing green, but in traffic is a totally different story.

Their inline 6s are night and day better (especially in sport mode, where it's keeping you in a slightly higher RPM).

I have my eye on a base GT model. I'd really prefer a GT1 or GT2, but you still get twin turbo v6 with the GT, just without some of the other extra goodies.

I test drove an X5 about 5 years ago and can honestly say that I've enjoyed few engines as much as that BMW I-6. It's just so well tuned, so responsive and seems to have all the power where you want it. Very good note for a V-6, doesn't feel heavy but feels plenty powerful.

I REALLY enjoyed that thing (but realized that the X-5 just isn't very useful when we drove it for an entire weekend). It convinced me that I'll have a BMW sedan someday, but that I wasn't terribly interested in their SUV.

My first was an m235i and absolutely loved it... some M bells and whistles without spending 6 figures on a real M, plus 30mpg despite all the power you'd reasonably need (of course, "unreasonable" power is fun, too).

And the one thing that still impresses me years later is the transmission... it's like the car isn't even shifting, it's so damn smooth. It was a completely new level of greatness from anything I had driven prior.

I have an X5 now... previously had a Rav4 that was barely okay enough to haul ATVs and camping gear (especially when attempting mountain drives when it's 105⁰ in Phoenix), and would end up taking it more often that not on long road trips given the lack of cargo space in the car (it was always sad to opt for the Rav4's practicality on road trips).

The X5 is the PERFECT blend of the two vehicles... same silky smooth transmission, great power and an especially fun responsive drive in Sport, and have seen 28+mpg on the highway. And on top of that, can easily haul the toys or for the Home Depot trips that weren't exactly coupe friendly.

If I have **** you money in the future, I'd love to buy a completely impractical M6 one day.... coming from a couple of sport coupes though, never thought I'd love driving an SUV.
