At the halfway point of 2022, who is the best team in the AFC?

Time for our annual poll. We've reached the halfway point of the season, somehow. The NFC has had a lot of underachieving teams but the AFC has several teams with winning records. Who is the best team in the AFC? Who are the teams to watch out for in the second half? Poll coming.

And KC finished 6-2. That’s very impressive and goes to show how good this team is and how the preseason record predictions were so far off for this team.

Miami.

Beat Bills and Ravens w/ Tua healthy.

Tua is 6-0 in games he finishes this year. They are 0-3 when he does not start (or shouldn't have started and was carted out of)

Edit: their schedule includes 5 of the teams on the OP list so its not like they have had cupcakes.

I think it's the Bills, pending Allen's arm injury.

Chiefs are a heartbeat behind.

Ravens, however, could legitimately be 9-0 right now. I think there's a good chance they sneak up on the AFC in the playoffs this year. They're super good.

I still like the Chiefs and Bills over them, but we need to give them a closer look than we've been, so far.

I don't think there's much separation between a bunch of these teams. I would include Miami, Cincy, & Tennessee in the Tier 1 group.

Does KC beat the Titans if Tannehill was playing? They were lucky it was a struggling backup QB in that game.

Cincy was 2-0 against the Chiefs last year and there's reason to believe it will be another tough battle against them later this season as well.

Miami has 3 losses directly from Tua's injuries. They have beaten Buffalo & Baltimore when Tua was on the field.
