Da Quix is a very slow learner. He still clings to the Bills are good because they run up the score.

How did that work out for them when they played KC in the AFC Championship?!

Correct.

That’s why the upper right quadrant are always the most balanced teams.

They combine the most efficient offenses with the most efficient defenses.

Lower right quadrant combines the most efficient offenses with less efficient defenses.

I think they have the highest ceiling of all teams in the NFL.

Among the top tier teams (Bills, Eagles, Vikings), only the Vikings have a lower floor.

So can Reid/Spags keep drilling down to have this team functioning at or near their ceiling in January?

I'd bet on them.

Bills have had the 2nd hardest schedule in the league so far (that’s not my opinion, that’s the official updated SOS). They faced the Chiefs, Vikings, Ravens, Dolphins, Titans and Jets. The Bills have the best strength of victory in the NFL too, while maintaining the highest point differential.

Chiefs have had hard opponents too, but they’ve also had more layups. Jags, Colts, Raiders, Bucs - those teams have a combined record of 14-24. The Bills layups have been the Steelers and Packers.

Barring injury, I have little doubt it’ll be Chiefs vs Bills in the end.
The Bills have played 3 games since the Chiefs. They didn't look all that good at home against the Packers, but they won that game. A win is a win, but the next two games on the road against the Jets and at home against the Vikings were games everyone expected the Bills to win. If the Bills team that played with such focus and determination against the Chiefs had shown up against all three of those opponents the Bills would have won easily. Conclusion? The Bills were clearly focused on the Chiefs and lost that focus and determination when they beat the Chiefs.

If you have a better view on why the Bills have looked so much worse since they played the Chiefs, I'm totally open to considering your explanation, but I seriously doubt you will come up with anything that explains the situation better. Whether my prediction is right or wrong, I don't really care that much. I'm just telling you what I see. If the Bills change things up in the coming weeks, I'll have no problem admitting that I was wrong.

Reid gets crazier as the year goes on.

You have Dorsey who is a clear downgrade from Daboll.

You won’t get any argument from me. The Bills have sucked ass the past 2.5 weeks. Allen has looked like donkey poop.

But I guess i’m just not that worried about it because the Bills have shown they can beat the top teams (Chiefs, Ravens, Titans) when they want to.

Chiefs we’re 5-4 last year at this time. I never once thought they weren’t turning it around. Same with the Bills. Quite frankly, even the Bills losses have been impressive in the fact that they’re never overpowered. They lost the Dolphins by 2 points while having 9 starters out and all 3 losses have been by a combined 8 points.

I just ain’t worried.

Yeah, so "balance" doesn't really matter on that chart, as cdcox said. The far right diagonal/tier are of course the best teams, and the further right you go, the better, since offense is more predictable (and important, obviously) than defense. Teams can be anywhere on that Bills/Bengals/Eagles diagonal and they're considered the same.

Or to put it another way, the Browns and Jets are the same, just for different reasons.

The Chiefs being almost to the next diagonal means they're better than everyone else. Yeah, hang your hat on "balance", but that chart is literally saying where the Bills/Bengals/Eagles are at on offense and defense doesn't matter because the Chiefs offense more than makes up for their defense.

Quote:
The grey tier lines create comparisons across teams. Teams on the same line are "equal" and expected to perform similarly on a forward looking basis. Because offensive performance is more predictive than defensive performance, these lines have a slope greater than 1 (1.6).

The tiers themselves represent the historical distribution of teams against the league average (median). For instance, a team at the "p90" line would be better than 90% of teams in any given year.

half your fanbase wants dorsey fired

the numbers are skewed by your blowouts over bad teams

not counting the pittsburgh game, the bills have scored 23 points per game since the first two weeks of the season,

disappointing all around from your "MVP" and Dorsey

I remember when the Oilers and Bills were playing in the AFC championship game and the Oilers were ahead 28-3 at halftime. They came out and scored early in the third quarter to lead 35-3. I'll bet the Oilers weren't too worried when Buffalo scored a td to cut the lead to 35-10, but when the Bills started piling on the points and coming back fast, the Oilers had already shut down emotionally thinking they had the game easily in hand. Then when they needed to turn it on again, it wasn't there for them.

The points per game is simply a function of the schedule.

Buffalo offense struggles against good defenses.

More importantly, watch the games. Daboll far superior play caller.

I told people Daboll was good.

Buffalo fans claimed a guy that never called plays was definitely going to be better.

Not even close.
