Thank you. I don't think people realize that the time elapsed BEFORE CPR is initiated is when the brain damage occurs. Not DURING CPR. CPR keeps the blood and oxygen flowing thru the body while trying to restart the heart.

I don’t know if it was mentioned in the GDT, but do we know how much time passed from the time he collapsed until they began CPR? I was watching on and off and turned the game back on to see an ambulance on the field and had no idea what had happened.

It was within a minute or two if that. Medical staff were on the field within about 20 seconds assessing him. I would imagine it didn't take long for them to figure out he wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse.

if someone is unconscious those are the first 2 things you check, even if you like suspect a concussion you'd still check since it only takes a couple seconds
