It does beg the question of why? This would kinda be like Russia buying Twitter to me, or currently China owning TikTok. Seems more like a direct pipeline into American culture which could be a concerning issue. Could kinda see the writing on the wall when they gave everyone the middle finger and started throwing major pay per views over there.

The product went downhill after it went PG and Disney and/or Mattel got involved.

That said, the company makes a lot more money now than in the late 1990's Attitude Era when the TV ratings were through the roof.
