Reality is losers/bad teams blame the refs. It's an easy way to cope. This won't be popular here but I don't think the refs rigged anything for us either when my team was a dynasty. We were so good (like how you guys are now) that other teams overplay their card and make stupid mistakes due to overthinking. When you are a good team you begin to notice this. People used to fear Brady and his Patriots and overthought everything when facing them. Except for teams like Miami, Denver and NYG. People now fear Mahomes and his Chiefs.

Personally I hate when people say that refs "rigged" a game. That is flat out illegal and I can't imagine any ref being able to do that much less collude with every other ref on their team without anyone noticing. The NFL would be able to catch that relatively quickly and would swiftly remove those refs. The NFL is far too big and popular to risk all of that with corrupt refs.

Now could refs inject bias into their job? I think so to a point. They are human and have favorite teams and players. One would have to wonder if that ref who named her kid after Brady was completely unbiased in that KC vs TB SB. Perhaps she was. I would not be surprised though if her bias leaned pro Brady. Not enough to outright rig the game in his favor though.

KC is now the bad guy and as such people want to bring them down and any way possible is fine. When KC succeeds, the haters can't accept that it was because they were better, only that they had help and it was because the refs "rigged" it or it was scripted.

What gets me the most is that they aren't as much upset that the refs called phantom penalties, but because the refs called legit ones. They didn't want them called. With the refs calling them, it's only because they wanted KC to win. Instead of being upset with the player who committed the penalty, they are upset with the ref for calling it. I think back to Mahomes first AFCCG. KC had the game won on a game ending INT..........except for the offsides by Dee Ford. I wasn't upset that the refs called it, because it was a penalty. I was upset with Ford for committing it.

History remembers winners. KC imo and I said this on Patsfans too that they will be remembered as a dynasty. You guys will be the team of the 20s and win a couple more this decade. I don't know if Mahomes is winning 7. I personally don't see it just because how hard it is to win that many but it wouldn't shock me if he did. He's that good.

I was listening to 810 on the way to work today and they played a clip of the Eagles broadcast. Those guys called out the hold immediately. It was a hold.

May have been mentioned already, but the Eagles spent their first timeout to avoid a delay of game on 3rd and 11 inside the Chiefs 20 with lead at 24-21 late in 3rd quarter. Chiefs stopped them after the timeout and Eagles kicked FG to make it 27-21.

If Eagles had not wasted that timeout, Chiefs would have had to try and score the TD on their last drive because a 3pt. lead with Eagles having 50 seconds and no timeouts would not be as good as 7 pt. lead with more time for the Eagles to have to score a TD to match.

Greg Olsen and all the other complainers were pretty much asking the referees to bail out Eagles for wasting a timeout.

How much longer does Fox's stranglehold on the Super Bowl last?
I swear he was drunk the way he kept slurring. And I swear that Fox cut their broadcast of the trophy ceremony short because of it.

Look, we all know it was a penalty. The whole world knows it if they’re being honest. What shocks me is the narrative that they shouldn’t have called it at that point in the game. If that’s the case, and the Eagles get the ball back, Chris Jones should be allowed to pick Hurts up, whether he has the ball or not, and slam him full force onto his bad shoulder with no penalty.

It’s absolutely stupid to think refs should just start picking and choosing which penalties to call or not call within the last few minutes. It’s a slippery slope and frankly unfair.

If the broadcast would have shown the jersey grab immediately, it would have shut Olsen up, and the whole narrative is different.

The reason why it’s so hard to win 7 is because of the sheer luck required to do it. More often than not the difference between a win and loss in the playoffs comes down to one play or moment. I can pretty much highlight one play over the last five years that either cost KC a championship or gave them one.

No one questions it’s a hold anymore. Their issue was that it was called. They wanted it to not impact the outcome.

This is my favorite dumb shit argument against the flag.

"We don't disagree that it was a penalty. We just don't want it called in that situation because of its impact on the game."

All I hear is, "We only want decisions that benefit the Eagles." Because it's ****ing impossible for it to not impact the game if it's called or not. The only thing that changes is who benefits from the call/non-call. And most people were rooting for the Eagles.

Didn't impact the play they say in the comments... My God Bradberry was on his heels and grabs the jersey to change his momentum. He actually said that as well. JuJu is wide open if he doesn't grab him on the intitial route, he then has illegal contact when he turns it into a wheel...

Someone said Kurt warner had a good discussion on this as well with Rich Eisen. Kurt explains why it needed to be called.
