Yes, he was largely supportive of Mahomes, but he loves his wallet more than he loves KC sports, so he still ran with stupid shit like, "Would I rather have Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes? Boy, tough question but... I might go with Lamar"

It's a hot take business. Whoever the **** Coach Brown is probably isn't getting the gigs he wants, so he probably has a podcast or some shit that nobody listens to, and any time somebody gives him a mic, he's going to spew his shit until somebody gives him a better job with more eyeballs. Also known as the Rob Parker strategy.

I once got riled up by people like that. Now I don't. Mahomes and the Chiefs have solidified who they are as the rulers of the league, and their greatness is 100% undeniable without using sophistry and bullshit. There is no more rise or a struggle to stay on top. We are firmly entrenched and we're not going anywhere. Coach Brown, Skip Bayless, and any other peasant can sit there and fester and rot in their own lies. It doesn't concern us.

The 2017 roster was far better. I’d argue that several of his rosters were better.

We already saw what Mahomes could do with the same roster as Smith in ‘18. As a rookie, he obliterated Alex’s numbers in every way.

It's no different than last Monday when suddenly "The Chiefs clearly have a better defense than Philly..."

Mere days after "Philly has a clearly better defense than the 49ers team KC beat in the Super Bowl..."

Give it another couple weeks and somehow the Chiefs will have the greatest defense in NFL history.

It's just bullshit revisionist history designed to take credit away from the clear best guy out there. Because "well shit, he's just better than everyone" doesn't get any sort of audience.
