It's been a while now, but in the last game of the regular season on Sunday night between the Lions and Packers, I was kind of watching Nijman due to the discussions here about him. IIRC, Hutchinson totally abused him on the evening. 2 or 3 sacks and multiple hurries. I just kind of remember being underwhelmed by what I saw that evening.

Same. I watched him a few times this year and he wasn't very good. I'd rather see what Bart can find in the draft.

Brown was 18th among tackles at 91.8 PBWR and Wylie was 27th among tackles with a 92.8 PBWR. How does that work out?

Frank Clark made Trent Williams his bitch last year and people think Williams is the greatest thing in the world. As long as this guy is top half in the league at LT, then I'd be good with him. Sign him for a pretty low contract and if we can get him for a 2nd, then hell yeah I'd take that all day. Much better player than youd get in the 2nd round at the position.

This is correct, Zach Tom took over and Nijman only played RT the rest of the year. Before that game, though, he was terrific. The Chiefs have the film so obviously we all trust them to make that call.

I think most people see it as a value proposition. You can probably get him for 3/36 with maybe 20 guaranteed, while only giving up a 2nd for a guy who has potentially a high ceiling at LT and is more of a sure thing than probably anyone we will be able to get at the end of the 1st or 2nd.

Probably still not ideal, but I'm not sure there is an ideal situation out there right now, unfortunately. I don't even believe keeping OBJ is ideal. It's a tough one, and I'm happy Breach Varch is making the call and not me.
