The Mahomes-Flowers connection would be ‘trouble’ for the league.

Zay Flowers says he hasn’t had many conversations with the Chiefs, but after working out with Patrick Mahomes, he said, “As soon as the first ball come out, I was like, if I could get with him, it would be a lot of trouble in the league.”

This goes back to the DK Metcalf convo but that's just not Andy's style. Tyreek, Hardman, Skyy Moore, Maclin, Desean Jackson, James Thrash. He likes smaller, quick WRs with elite speed that he can use in space.

Nobody really knows shit. You just throw a dart at a talented guy and hope you get lucky. The worst GMs can outperform the best GMs in the short run (5 years) simply cuz they get lucky and the also the opposite is true.

Meh I do really like Flowers but I personally think this WR class is on the weaker side and the talks of Flowers mid 1st round are only because of the lack of overall talent.

I think he does have a 2nd round grade and Veach will only consider taking him if he is there at #31.

When KC had Sammy Watkins and he was healthy (2019) the Chiefs scored 35 pts/game. A TD more than last season. And there was the Josh Gordon experiment, Kelvin Benjamin, JJSS, etc. Not to mention the fact that they brought in Dez Bryant and at least one other guy after for a workout. Andy has always wanted a prototypical WR opposite a smaller speed WR.

Probably a primary reason Veach picked up Justyn Ross.

So while it's fair to say that Andy likes smaller speedy WRs, it's also just as true that he likes to have a prototypical 6ft plus WR on the roster as well.

And we have several smaller WRs already. Andy likes balance on his offense, in terms of personnel.

The guys in the tight end room make up for that, though. All of them.

Patrick Mahomes II made Albert Wilson a rich man with only one game. Savvy wide receivers know that.

I think the ONLY reason Hardman was taken over Metcalf was because he graded out way closer to what Tyreek did for the team while DK would be more of a downfield guy. Tyreek had a very high chance of not being a Chief with everything going on at that time.

Also it seems Reid likes to have some kind of speed deep threat plus over the middle hands guy, regardless of size. Regardless if its through the draft or free agency....Terrell Owens for example, Sammy for example, JuJu for example, Trading for Toney for example.

DeSean-Deep
Maclin-Hands guy

Tyreek-Deep guy(could do more of course)
Sammy-Hand guy

Hardman drafted to replace Tyreek.

Think currently one could argue that Reid already HAS his two main guys...

Toney-Speed and deep guy moves like Tyreek
Skyy-Hands guy

Can also throw MVS in there to mix in with Toney as your Deep guy.

I just think Reid couldn't care less about size, to a point, and more on speed and what role they would have...fill a need?

I think a lot rides on how Skyy has looked this offseason as I believe he has went to every camp Mahomes has held. If Mahomes/Reid/Veach feel Skyy is ready then WR might not be a huge need other than Toney's injury history.

Why isn't MVS what you're talking about? MVS is 6-4 and fast as hell.
