God damn, Wallcrawler, you don't do a very good job of proving you're not a raging tard that hates Andy Reid.

Chargers? I thought he was a Jets fan. Don't remember why I thought that, though.

But yeah, another opposing fan that just doesn't understand the market.

How much faith do you have in FAU and Karlaftis to be able to hold it down when you're kicking Danna in on 3rd downs?

Moreover, I'm worried about getting INTO 'passing downs' if you can't generate any push on 1st and 2nd.

Like I said in one of the 'I'm worried about' threads - I wasn't terribly confident in the DL before Jones pulled this shit. With Omenihu and Jones down, you're starting Karlaftis and Danna on the edges. Malik Herring may be your first DE in and he's just awful.

The DL just doesn't have the component parts to go moving guys around much at the moment.
Unless he's just done with football, I have no idea why Carlos Dunlap is not on the roster.

I know I'm alone here but I'm kinda hoping Karlaftis takes more than a 10% step forward, and I think we'll need him to over these first 6 weeks. If his trajectory is Hendrickson-esque I'd be pretty stoked but the penny dropped year 3 for that guy I think. He's not shown that imo especially in his play against the run.

I think FAU might not improve on GK's sacks as a rookie but I bet he gets more consistent pressure. If Karlaftis just takes a big step forward against the run I think it makes a massive difference

Can FAU even be Frank Clark level good? If so that’s already an improvement.

If FAU can’t replicate Clark’s production, I’d be pretty disappointed, and I’m Clark’s #1 fan.

Not in coverage, no.

Right - they're far different styles of player.

Uzi would need to have better 'counting stats' to be even as good as Karlaftis was because if he's not impacting a play, he's probably not gonna give you merely a neutral rep very often. Whereas Karlaftis could play to neutral even when he wasn't finishing a play or getting a pressure.

I've got a sneaking feeling FAU has a defensive rookie of the year season.

I'm still fascinated by the idea of Spags just hurling NTs at their interior line and letting GK and FAU get a little space on the edges.

Gimme 700 lbs of fat-ass just slamming into the A gaps and I'll take my chances w/ the youngsters on the edge.

**** it - BRING BACK THE 2-GAP SCHEME!!! Have GK and Danna playing a 3-tech and sent FAU/BJ Thompson screaming off the edges from a 7/9 alignment.

Let's get weird...
