Cringe. I think he came off a little too aloof and lacking compassion for his teammates and any sort of loyalty.

Yes, in your job, if you request a raise and they don't want grant it, you have the right to not work. And he has that right too. But it doesn't make it a gracious act when you're actively hoping that your employer effectively becomes dysfunctional enough to be forced to cave. And when there are hundreds of thousands of exogenous fans who have a vested interest in the team's success that you are rooting against.

The only scenario I'll have a problem with at this point is if the team ups their offer at some point. I think that's just rewarding bad behavior and I hate the thought of that. But if he's principled enough to stay out until Week 8? Well, then do your thing, dude. It's your every right to not work and not get paid.

I really think that Chris has let himself get twisted into a knot that he doesn't know how to untangle. He ****ed up for sure, but I place most of the blame on the agents here. They were no match for Veach at the negotiating table and made everything so much messier than it needed to be.

Yeah it's partly Chris's fault, but these guys listen to their agents. He's an idiot for listening to them, but they agents don't lose anything when he's losing money.
