****OFFICIAL Chargers HYPE Megathread****

Now that they are a threat, I figure the Chargers need their own repository so we can track how great everyone thinks they are.

They were fortunate enough to win this prestigious award today!

They won't be a threat unless they hire a Sean McVay/Kyle Shanahan level coordinator and make them HC, and even that's hit or miss. To maximize Herbert's potential, whatever that might be, they won't achieve it with the current coaching staff and that's been proven at this point. It's nice to see the Raiders, Chargers and Broncos are relatively in the same position and us being the only stable organization out of our division.

Overrated Justin Herbert had Quentin Johnston wide open the play before Hardman broke their backs.

I know he doesn't have very good coach and staff but he should play better at this point. His team has been loaded with talent since he got there and he doesn't do damage with the game on the line over and over again. He has the wheels to make plays and doesn't and he misses guys open. He's Smith but taller with girl hair.

I could never cheer for 2 teams in any sport, I like the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks, and I don't care about any other teams, and never will.

But, there are absolutely legit reasons to cheer for more than one team in a given sport.
Nope. **** the Vikings...

Keenan Allen is wide open on the play. Willie just made a great play.

He could fit it in to Johnston but the Chiefs are playing C2 so the safety is over the top there.

They praise his stats and don't use coaching/players/injuries at all when discussing it, but when it comes to wins and losses they do blame all of that. Can't have it both ways. I have said it before, he lacks "it" and it showed in their playoff loss last year to Jax.

You won't get the QB right. Even if he's smart and talented, there are very few players who can change coordinators every year or every couple years while still being successful. Especially if they're young QBs. And if you're a defense guy, you're at the mercy of how good your OC and coaching staff. If he's great, he'll get plucked to go coach somewhere else because he's in demand. If he's bad, you either have to replace him a bunch or settle for your QB having a bad OC.

I don't care if the defensive guy is an absolute mastermind of a coach. I wouldn't hire him. And I ESPECIALLY wouldn't hire him if he were just some Division 3 loser with only a couple of years' experience in the NFL who impressed me with colorful pie charts in the interviews.

Owners have got to stop being swindled by these turds. They're no good for what the game is today.

It's obvious there will be changes next year for the Chargers at this point. They will need an offensive guy. Their first challenge to success is to get past the Chiefs in the division. What better way than someone with first hand experience in the competitor's organization.

Looking forward to Chargers going all Charger and hiring Eric Bieniemy as their next coach. Probably not the worst hiring choice they could make, but should help the Chiefs for a few more years with owning the division.
