You just said you wanted our best defensive player to walk. So you don't actually want to keep "our guys".

I said we can't afford to pay him $30m per. And I don't think we should. You do that, you open 2 or 3 holes elsewhere.

Is this going to be another one of those things where you make a bunch of posts about how Veach really ****ed up, and then we go win the Super Bowl again?

You don't represent Chiefs management guy. You aren't the fan police so stop trying it.

Of course they can afford Jones, if they want to. He is a 27 million cap hit this year so 28-30 next year is not adding a thing.

Simple shit. All you are doing is trying to be some sort of KC fan police for moves that haven't even happened yet. If Veach resigns him you won't say they could not afford it, you'll say, "Wow, That's great!!".

I assume Veach knows what he's doing.

Love Jonesy. Don't want to lose him. But I know you if you keep him, at $30m and over 30 years old, you probably aren't going to get your money's worth, and you probably have to let Sneed and Bolton walk.

If Veach does it, I won't complain. If he doesn't, I totally get it.

No, I just get annoyed with little bitches that complain constantly about 7-2 teams that are Super Bowl favorites. It's irritating and stupid.

Remember 2018 when the team leaders were Berry and Houston, who were clearly just coasting (+ haglund's spirit w/e)? Or defense sucked. We were one of the worst tackling teams in the league. When the top guys on the team had no heart for making hits, that filters down. Then we had Honey Badger making business decisions in his last year.

Sneed was one of the first guys to set a new tone. Now McDuffie, Cook, Watson, Williams, Reid are following suit in the secondary, and we're one of the best tackling teams. I feel like Sneed could be a lynchpin to a lot of this transformation. We'll see if the team feels the same way. I hope they keep him.

Sneed is an awesome draft pick and a great player.

Jones is a better and more valuable player but those who don't want to resign him can say he's the older player so he should walk.

For maximizing ability to win SB's next 2 years they should keep Jones and they have the luxury of letting a player like Sneed walk because they hit on McDuffie who is cost controlled for a while.

Only way I sign Sneed is if I can sign Trent. No way they let Trent leave in a few years.

What? McDuffie has 3 more years. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

You mean the ones that keep winning Super Bowls?

3rd contract, top of the market deal? I don't think I'd do it.

Maybe Veach will. I kinda doubt it

You're not the Chiefs GM, you're just some old Dinosaur dude wannabe.

You know who actually helped win the SB last year? Not you, Chris Jones was a critical piece.

Now your point that you think Jones is done soon is fair, should have just said that instead of "can't afford him" which is not accurate but instead I don't want to pay for a player that could rapidly decline.
