Sitting around in my Optimus Prime underroos, scarfing Fruity Pebbles, and watching The Transformers... Which, interestingly, is the same thing I do now...

1985 was one of the best years of my life.

I got contact lenses that spring, which I wore for the next 30 years before having to switch back to glasses. I never looked so good those three decades.

A great summer: I worked a summer job mowing a cemetery, was actually easy money. I got back together with the girlfriend I had dumped a few weeks earlier. We married 7 years later and are still married today.

The Royals won their first World Series.

I was a wide-eyed 5-year-old crying because I couldn't get my ears pierced like my older sister.

It was a good miss.
