Believe what your eyes tell you, not what your heart feels.

Nearly all of us and at a minimum a vast majority has seen this team in the Cassel, Smith and Mahomes era.

Another big chunk have watched the Montana, Green, Gannon, Grbac periods.

And the old farts like me have had to endure Mike Livingston, Mark Vlasic, Steve Pelluer, Bill Kenney and Steve DeBerg.

We ALL know the difference between a really bad team, an average team, an over achiever, an under achiever, a good and great team.

At this point, if you don't realize that this 2023 Chiefs team is average at best and trending down, you need to remove your homer goggles.

I love our team and have spent 53 years rooting for them when it was hard as hell to do and I didn't have other fans to console me after all the loses. I grew up in NJ. There were no Chiefs fans that I knew.

Mahomes and the Super Bowl delivered incredible joy and pride.

Now after 2 Super Bowls and non-stop winning we have hit an off year. It's easy to do in the NFL and we lasted longer than most teams do winning all the time.

Many of you see it but have remained overly optimistic. God Bless your devotion. I did that already for 50 years and now I can be much more realistic after the SB wins.

Do yourself a favor and be honest with yourself. You see it, you feel it and you know it.

This team has no chance in the playoffs. Don't try to tell me anything can happen, because it really doesn't. Yeah, a neat play here or there or maybe a win against a shit team but even now that is unlikely.

This team is burnt out. Since Game 1 not a ****ing thing has improved and in some cases has gotten worse: Mahomes and Kelce in particular.

When your top two stars are ****ing up and look like they need a month off to rest, you know you are in trouble.

I pray everyone stays healthy, we shut this shit show of a season down, rest our franchise QB before he gets injured or killed. The dude was running for his LIFE all day and our Oline has also gone backwards.

We have a great young defense, can focus on Oline and WRs for draft and signing FAs to rebound in 2024.

From play calling, to turnovers to penalties to oline blocking to drops, this has been a brutally ugly season.

Time to turn the page on 2023 and get our shit fixed ASAP cause it ain't gonna change in 2023.

Shrug. The Chiefs don’t seem to play better in their home stadium. Yesterday was a good example of that.

My eyes tell me that the KC Chiefs (my favorite team of all time) need to get their shit together and the crowd needs to get louder I was there yelling as loud as I could every down on defense but it wasn't good enough to over come two turnovers back to back touchdowns for the Raiders (I hate the Goddamn Raiders) gifting the Raiders 14 points.

If they load up the WR room next year, it will be Air Mahomes once again.

I can’t even imagine the type of person you have to be, to be this elated over a regular season win. I guess when you are bitch slapped by the Chiefs every single year and you never go anywhere and every season you’re biggest thing to look forward too his at what point your HC is going to be fired then yea I guess it makes sense.

Still hard to imagine being that big of a clown to spend minutes of a short life on a message board trolling a team that has utterly dominated you for a decade over one measly win where your QB didn’t complete a pass for 3 quarters lmao.

Pretty sadly hilarious though.

PM can overcome a lot but instant pressure is hard for any qb to overcome.. I don’t like our chances against the browns b/c they have stronger edge rushers. I also like how we matchup defensively against the ravens. Our DBs can cover their WRs. And we have speed at LB to help contain Lamar. Plus, we’ve had slumps before. Remember when defenses started having two high safeties and it took us a long time to adjust? I know this is much worse, a different universe of worse but with the right matchup and a little luck. We can definitely be in the mix. PM and Kelce are competitors and they will keep fighting to fix this. I’d rather the problem be on offense than defense because I have more faith that we can turn it around. I also get the fact that we could be one and done in the playoffs. I’m just thinking many are underestimating the likelihood that we can turn this around. We could possibly win it all if we get 24 points every game with this defense.. Yall really don’t believe that Andy and Pat can get us 24 points a game? Come on. Especially with the right matchup? Please. Yall gotta be kidding me.
This is sort of where I am at.

If this defense brings it for four quarters, we mostly just need the offense and special teams not to eff it up and just put a few drives together.

Yes, at the moment that seems unlikely. But I'm not willing to completely give up on Mahomes and company.

They may well be one and done, but I'll Belize it when I see it.

Yeah, I know we're all exhausted from the multitude of issues and any "if they just..." seems tired at this point, but it's not like everything has to come together perfect or even close to it.

Defense - show up and stay healthy.
Mahomes - get your mojo back.

Boom, they're now in any game they play and we can all forget yesterday ever happened. (also not saying they'll win a SB dropping key passes and taking dumb penalties and giving edge rushers zero resistance, etc.)

For real. They seem to play better on the road. I remember when the Arrowhead advantage was a real advantage. Now you see these cheese and wine ****s sitting down golf clapping like they're at a Seals and Croft concert. Opposing offenses don't have problems with the crowd noise like they used to.

At the end of the day, we have the best coach, qb and one of the better defenses.

And we have championship experience.

No I don’t expect us to get to the SB but I won’t give up until we’re out.

We have a pretty good RB also.

If we get our LT back before the playoffs, today's game would make me cautiously hopeful.

Chiefs are capable of beating anyone if they can stop shooting themselves in the foot with killer mistakes (turnovers, penalties, dropped balls). It's unlikely that they will be able to do it, but you never know. They have a fighting chance now, and that's all we can ask for at the moment.
