Who did they spend big dollars on to be a mercenary?

All the stars of that team were drafted by that team outside of Rodgers.

Rodgers literally has to be a league average QB and they're a playoff team. He has an elite WR and RB, if there's one thing Rodgers knows to do, it's feed the studs.

Rodgers at 40 can no longer just flip the switch, he needed valuable time with that young team that he didn't put in, and that team watched Salah let him off the hook

They're already done, not going anywhere at all... they're not a TEAM

The Niners are a legit team, their coaching/philosophy has been locked down and ingrained for 6 years, its a cohesive organization full of players who buy in and fit in... from the front office to the laundry room, the Niners have it ALL OVER the Jets
