All losses aren’t considered equal. When our Lts lose (or hold/false start) it generally gives the play no chance - aka dead play.
I don’t recall seeing tre smith lose in the capacity of absolutely killing the play (probably just making the play less likely to succeed)
The issue with the LT is they’re giving the play basically 0 % of success. And mahomes will sometimes make magic with a bad block as long as it has a chance

It's recency bias. Trey had a terrible game against the Bills and a middling one the previous. Wanya had maybe one of his better games against the Bills. This ignores the fact Morris has generally been bad and Smith good. I DO think Smith hasn't had his best year and isn't the best in pass pro, but he's pretty solid most games and significantly better than Morris.
