Have there been offensive linemen this year that HAVENT been a headache for the Chiefs d line?

It's kind of the reason the performances have been rather stinky. No pressure on qb, compromised secondary, not a good recipe for success.

The DL hadn't been good at rushing the passer without help from blitzing. It's been an obvious deficiency we've managed to hide but the lack of a really decent DE is a pain. Can't say we haven't put resource into it but Danna, Karlaftis and FAU doesn't move the needle much, and Uche isn't being used.

On the other hand it has at least looked better against the run

I mean the fact that, unsolicited, he mentioned DJ when asked if he knows who the starter for this weeks Chargers game would be, suggests that yeah - he REALLY wants DJ to start this game.

I suspect it's on DJ. Gotta get a couple more padded practices in to see how he's moving laterally and make sure he can handle some ramped up activity, but I think if DJ gives a thumbs up, Andy's gonna put him in there.

DJ already said last week he's ready to play wherever Reid wants him to play. I suspect it's on Andy to make the call.
