I read that a pug won first prize at the national dog show for the first time ever. Is that what we're talking about?

He’s country/indie/psychadelic rock royalty.

Came back from 3+ years on IR due to blown out vocal chords.

Don’t sleep on Billy Strings on nugs. His widely available content, while good, doesn’t really communicate the diversity of material and styles he brings to his live show.

I really enjoy High Top, Metamodern, and Sailor's Guide, but the last few haven't really done much for me. Admittedly, I haven't listened to the latest under the name Johnny Blue Skies.

I'm glad he got Laur back in the band.

I love Billy, but man, I can't stand the fanbase. I don't want to sound like a grumpy old fart and I shouldn't be bothered by his success, but he got too damn big, too damn fast. I miss the smaller club days when the crowd was mostly the typical jamgrass crowd. Now it's much more of a Phish scene and I just can't do it.

I mean... I followed Phish and the Dead when I was in my teens and 20s, so that doesn't really bother me. I went to Tulsa this week, and there were definitely a lot of wooks, though.

I'm mad at myself for not just camping over in Tulsa for 3 nights. Had:
Billy Strings at BOK on Tuesday
Wilco at Cains on Tuesday, Wednesday
Zach Bryan at BOK on Thursday, Friday, Saturday. (speaking of getting too big and having an insufferable fan base).

Oh yeah, I freely admit being a (mostly sober) 48 year old shapes my opinion here.
