This is posted with the benefit of hindsight. People are completely forgetting how this place was in December of last year to the point I’m about to get banned for bumping threads.

Yeah, a lot of "fraud defense" comments after the Packers loss, and then of course the wheels falling off Christmas Day... in between, I think the Patriots win was almost a passive aggressive "well, they didn't **** it up," and I'm sure the mood was less than stellar at halftime.

Yeah, we can NOW say we had an elite defense last season, but that wasn't largely the belief at this point last year... and I remember because I was surprised how little people were talking about them after what they did to the Eagles (much less calling them frauds soon after).
