When one of the cornerstones to arguably the most dominant era your franchise ever had has been shunned from the organization for, essentially, saying what we can all see - well...I mean damn, is there anything more I can even say at this point?

This is the late stage brewery ownership era all over again.

There's nothing special about the Cardinals anymore. They're just another team -- in many ways, they're even less than that.

I do get a kick out of the fact that virtually everyone is openly rooting against the Cardinals in these arb cases at the moment.

Except for PGM -- he wanted to see Noot at the league minimum.

There's just not a less likeable organization in baseball at the moment. They're probably only second to the Mavericks right now in terms of open fan hatred.

And here's the thing - I don't think they know it. I mean, I don't know HOW they wouldn't, but I think they're going to be floored at how poor the attendance is and how bad the television ratings are. It's going to be an eye-opening season for them when they finally have no choice but to see how badly they've pissed off this fan base.
