RIP Joe Delaney and all, but it seems kind of ridiculous to compare JD with DT in any way other than the fact that they both had untimely deaths. Surely the Chiefs ROF has more to do with football accomplishments as a Chief than it does with tragic endings. You might be right that no one knows what the ROF standards are, but your example doesn't add much weight to that argument, IMO.

If I were on the selection committee, Priest would be at or near the top of my list of active player candidates (along with Will Shields and Tony Gonzales). I say he gets in.
