I actually found the email text, here it is FWIW. Also this goes back further than I thought, I posted this response in September of 03 on another forum.
"Hi there, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was waiting to hear back from someone regarding your question. Apparently there was talk of creating these specialty discs but it is actually not going to happen. If we do hear of any plans to produce these discs in the future we will let you know.
