Yeah.

No player who has been suspended should be honored with a pro bowl selection. It should go to players who don't cheat.

It's a pretty fair assessment that the NFL obviously doesn't care if their players cheat or not. If you are suspended in the year for cheating, they should make a rule so that in no way shape or form can you go to the Pro Bowl. I don't think Merriman should go to the Pro Bowl, not because he did roids, but because he cheated. I could care less if he did roids. How come people freak out when shitty MLB guys like Jason Grimsley get busted for roids but in the NFL one of the best linebackers in the game gets busted and nobody cares?

Your statement makes absolutely no sense. How did he cheat in your eyes then?

You dont care if he used a supplement that contained a banned substance, yet you care he "cheated"? explain that one.

Do your homework before you start spewing all kinds of nonsense like "He's on Roids" or "He cheated".

There was a small amount of Nandrolone found in his system. If you do some research on the world of supplements, you'll find that many supplements go unchecked in regards to whats actually in them. Its not like he was sticking needles in his ass or something. He was using the same supplement since training camp and was tested several times BEFORE AND AFTER he tested positive. Both came out negative.

The NFL has a no tolerance policy and furnishes a list of approved supplements. Anyone who chooses to go elsewhere does so AT THEIR OWN RISK. For this he is guilty and deserves the suspension. There is no denying his god given abilities however. He will finish atop the league sack leaders at the end of the season even after missing 4 games.

The San Diego Chargers put out a statement giving Merriman their FULL SUPPORT along with his teamates. Do you thing the org. would further taint their name if they didnt believe him.

Furthermore, the COACHES, FANS, AND PLAYERS voted Merriman in. What does that tell you? (I expect a barrage of smart ass remarks with this question, I wont be surprised)

Nadrolone IS an anabolic steroid. So...Merriman was "on 'roids". Nadrolone helps increase both muscle growth and red bloodcell production. Essentially, giving Mr. Merriman a leg up on the competition. (also known as 'cheating')

Many supplement products on the market today do not go through the stringent FDA testing required for other drugs. However, each NFL team makes available to it's players all legal dietary supplements from approved sources. There is no reason Mr. Merriman would need to obtain supplements from non-NFL approved sources. In fact, using supplements from sources other than team trainers in a violation of NFL policy.

Regardless, Nadrolone availability is only 2.24% when taken orally. Thus 97.76% of the trace amount ingested in a tainted batch of creatine powder or whatever they mystery supplement was (assuming for sake of argument that a schedule III controlled substance would some how end up in a legal nutritional supplement during the manufacturing process) would simply pass through Mr. Merriman's system, unused. Nadrolone itself is not detectable in urine, rather it is the byproduct of Nadrolone's metabolization that is detected in urine tests. Injection of Nadrolone provides 100% availability....even injections in the ass.

Strangely enough, after Mr. Merriman used non-NFL approved supplements which he claims were somehow tainted, he dropped his appeal. Even more astounding, he refused to reveal the type or manufacturer of said supplement...leaving the public at risk to tainted supplements.

Merriman got caught with an anabolic steroids in his system. His excuse is ridiculous. He cheated, he got caught. He should not be in the pro-bowl.

At first I was also very skeptical about his story. (I didnt express my opinions or throw him under the bus yet like may people including charger fans did) After reading a lot more into it, I will only say that I will at least give him the benefit of the doubt now. Details are still sketchy because he is sueing the company, but more info will surface.

hell no ... it should be part of the punishment for being caught roiding.

the league should seriously consider banning them from post season play as well.

get caught busting for roids...

1. suspension
2. fine
3. no probowl or any other award possible
4. no post season play????

suspension and no post season play would send a message to the team to "suggest" to them that they should try harder to prevent such things.

Luis Castillo must not be able to read either huh? Obviously you missed the meaning of the linseed joke-it supposedly makes things bigger, like Bonds head-get it dipshit. Go back to the San Roidiego boards with your inplausible theories.

The players union would come down on the league like a shit storm.....they have agreed to punishments they can't just take them beyond that because they feel like it.

That's a different question....I used to enjoy watching to see if the guy could kick a field goal for $100,000 or whatever it was.
