Imagine the melt down on the board if this shakes out like this guy thinks.

5. Chiefs Matt Ryan QB 6-4 228 Boston College Senior
Personally, I don't think Matt Ryan is the best QB in the draft. I believe Brian Brohm is the best and safest QB selection in the draft. With that said, the Chiefs front office has strong ties to the Philadelphia and Northeast region and have studied Ryan's game significantly. Kansas City has other needs and could grab Dorsey at this pick, but Ryan is favored by the front office and will give incumbent QB Brodie Croyle competition.
Previous mock draft selection: Brian Brohm

I'm not against going with a tackle or whomever else and giving Croyle another year. I just don't see why we have to melt down if we take a QB.

Why do we even care anymore? I mean seriously. Carl will find a way to screw everything up anyway. Why get all invested in the Chiefs draft.

What is all this Ryan talk? I thought we were going to bring in JP Losman and David Carr?

I'd give a 4th rounder this year and a 3rd rounder next year- I don't think the Browns would even nibble.

The good news is, we might be able to draft Flacco, Woodson or Henne in the draft.

I hate matt ryan more now. He displayed absolutely no signs or skills of what you look for in a starting QB in that entire clip. All I needed to know about his arm as a chief was shown in the first 8 seconds, a 4 yard checkdown pass. The fact that he was always running around was annoying too, he should just stand in there and fall to the ground in the fetal position when his line allows defenders to come through. **** you matt ryan.

I'd pass on a QB this year.....get some O-line help and let Brodie be Brodie....

It's not like we're going to be drafting 30th next year anyways....so you'll probably have a decent shot again next year at a decent QB if necessary.

Not to be all doom and gloom....but hey...

Interesting that there are some folks in this thread who've been bitching about the possibility of picking Gholston, who are advocating Ryan.

In other threads, y'all are against Gholston because you THINK he'd be a backup.

Ryan WOULD be a backup, and a pretty risky one at that.

A very smart man left me this rep comment regarding Ryan about a month ago, and I agree 100%

Ryan clearly ISN'T in the class of Manning or Palmer. Taking Ryan this year would be "settling", plain and simple. A panic move.

I'll go with this. Hell, imo, Darren McFadden would be a better value pick than Ryan.

I agree. It's like spending Mercedes money on a Corolla because that's all they had at the time you were shopping.
