Uh yea he is.....Gooden is a prototypical cover 2 backer. Wheeler on the other hand has the size to play inside in the 3-4.

The Buffalo Bills select Earl Bennett, WR, Vanderbilt.
Hubbard would be a reach of epic proportions here, and while WR is a huge need for the Bills, they get good value here for Bennett. He was rated 65th on our board. Center was a consideration, though I felt it was too early to take one. Defensive tackle was also a serious thought, as the Bills are woefully thin behind John McCargo and Kyle Williams. |

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Red Bryant, DT, Texas A&M
If Justin King would have lasted to this pick the Jaguars would have been happy but the Chiefs grabbed him early in the 3rd round. So the Jags decided to go another direction at this point. They traded Stroud to the Bills for this pick, so why not fill that gap right now. The Jags are pretty old at the DT position with Henderson being 29, Grady Jackson being 35, Rob Meier being 30 and Derek Landri being the youngest at 24. Red Bryant will add some youth and depth at this point and hopefully blossom into a key cog in the Jags defensive line. |

Bennett is good value. I was wondering if you'd opt for the prototypical big possession guy and reach for Hubbard.
I think I still would have opted for a center but Bennett's hard to complain about. |

I just want to throw this out there, by the way, and say that the Vikings really need to consider one of the remaining QBs at this point. I don't think anybody in the Vikings organization is happy with the QB situation.
Josh Johnson, to me, is the best of the remaining guys. Normally I'd refer to him as a project considering U of San Diego's offensive scheme or because he's from a small school, but there's absolutely something about Johnson when you watch him play. 43 TDs and only 1 INT in a single year suggests that this isn't your usual overachiever. There's something genuinely special about Johnson. He's a natural born leader by all accounts, and he's probably the most accurate passer in this Draft, and without a doubt the best scrambler (even better than Dixon). He's skinny, but he can add weight easily to his frame. Andre Woodson is another intriguing candidate, who has 1st round abilities at this point but will need superior coaching to get him to play up to that. I really like Woodson, I think he has a great head on his shoulders and has had to carry a bad team through one of the league's toughest conferences. Concerns over his shaky decision making are legit, but they can be rectified. Eric Ainge is one of those guys who seems to do well in the NFL. I don't know if he'll ever be Pro Bowl material but he's going to do well on a team that doesn't ask him to carry them. He's a lot lighter than he should be, and gets rattled when he's hit. But he's made strides every single year he's been on the field, and if he gets bigger and gains some experience under center there's no reason he can't be a gifted game manager. |

onthewarpath58 great pick
I love Bennett and was thinking about getting him but then carolina started signing receivers so I was like not a major need anymore. also like the red bryantt the panthers might have selected him if he was still there |
