I'm in the minority that's in the "wait and see" approach.

Here's what I do know: Carl Peterson seems to have lost a lot of power, as personnel decisions seem largely driven by Kuharich and Herm. I don't think Peterson has a free pass, as many suggest--I think he's been quiet about Peterson's shortcomings only because he knows Peterson is gone in a year anyway. And I don't know whose decision it was to rebuild, but it sounds like Clark Hunt is a big driver and supporter of it. Think about it: the Chiefs made a decision that they knew would lead to a 4-6 win season at best. Hunt knew that the right decision to build through youth would lead to decreased ticket sales and butts in seats. The Lamar/CP tandem would never make a decision that could jeopardize the opportunity to sell more tickets.

I think Hunt was given a lousy situation from years of terrible front office management. I don't think he should be defined by his performance now, but how this team performs in about 2-3 years. I do believe, however, that he's limited Peterson's power, which is a very good thing.

We'll we got off on a bad start. I sat next to him at the Indy playoff game and he called the Stadium management on me due to my non-vulgar voicing of my displeasure of the Coaching and play calling during that game.

I can understand a wait and see approach. I dont make snap decisions in my business either.

If the GM and GERM remain after this season my opinion of him will not be good. How can accept failure and mismanagement game after game, season after season?

I think the "wait and see" group is reasonably large, and I'm among them. I don't particularly blame the guy for not firing his long-term GM in his first year or so, and maybe there's a "respect for your dad" thing in there.

I expect that he won't fire anybody this year either, and will let Carl go to pasture peacefully. I don't like that, but I figure it's going to happen and am sadly resigned to it.
The rebuilding of the Chiefs will begin in 2010, and 2009 will continue the destruction.

Clark started out with a positive rating, it'll be neutral to slightly negative by the time he gets Carl out, and hopefully he'll recover with a good choice for the next GM and coach.

Oh how I hope you're wrong. This organization needs new blood ASAP. Letting the rotting corpse of Peterson/Edwards continue to run this franchise into oblivion would be unforgivable.

I hope I'm wrong too, but if Clark is anything like Carl, he values continuity even when continuity means incompetence.
