I graduated from college and my degree turned out to be completely useless.

Same thing here. I got a degree in Business Mgmt and it was basically a waste of time in my career field. I'm sure that's the exception to the rule, but in my case I didn't have to have it.

Bachelor's in Computer Science and an MBA.

For a while I thought the CS degree was pretty useless, because I couldn't find a job that didn't require 2-5 years of experience, and NWMSU's career services was a waste of time (not that 2002-2003 was a great time to look for IT internships and jobs). I'm glad I have it now, but the program was still a disappointment, IMHO.

I'm not sure if the MBA has really made a difference in my career, but I really enjoyed the classes and would do it again in a heartbeat. I could have gotten my current job without a second degree, but I'm not sure I could have gotten it with just my undergrad GPA on my resume (which doesn't have to do with the aforementioned CS department disappointment... stupid Biology). The canned undergrad stuff didn't do it for me... it's so much better when you're learning economic theory from someone who's been working with it for 20+ years at Sprint or learning marketing from a local VP of the AMA. Oh, and that's Avila University... www.avila.edu
