Now, multiply that by 8+ years.

I don't even think I can begin to describe how annoying it is during college football season, so maybe you'll get the pleasure of their presence afterall.

At least you weren't around when people were clamoring for Chase Daniel to be the Chiefs top draft choice.

Though I'm sure a few of those oxygen thieves will make their way into the draft discussions.

How about the guy who thinks Oklahoma runs a pro style offense....and I bet I could find you people that think Colt McCoy is the best QB prospect in college.

Those two I agree with you. Whoever said that Oklahoma runs a pro-style offense? That's crazy. That's a spread offense.

Well, I wouldn't say McCoy is the best QB prospect, but he is up there. He did put up solid numbers, and he has the "it" factor, as it was demonstrated today. The issue with him is his injuries, and his small frame.

And his gimmick offense....the entire Big 12 there is nothing even close to resembling pro style.

It was either lil Stumpy or Roy Jr. that insisted OU runs a pro-style offense.

While true, Colt Brennan did run a gimmick offense as well. Just throwin that out there, and he looked pretty decent during pre-season. Yes, I know, it's pre-season, but the transition can be done if given the patience and proper coaching.

If you wanna give me a 6th round flier on a guy who broke a bunch of NCAA passing records in a spread offense great, I'm not using a 1st round pick on one.

Not to mention his coach was an NFL HC previously so I think he it had more NFL principles than given credit for.

Come on now, Dane. How many people ever said that? Can you name one?

It's silly now, and it was at the height of his college career. Not even the biggest Mizzou homers on this board were saying that... (as far as I remember, anyway)

Uh, I can't imagine anybody, and I mean ANYBODY, was actually serious about the Chiefs taking Daniel with a first round pick. At one time before his psyche imploded I would have been in favor of drafting him with a second day pick, but that's it.

You at least live in California, so if you like USC it makes sense. Mecca doesn't get that pass. Most of us are either KU fans or MU fans, because we're either from Missouri or Kansas, or attended the schools, or both. Nobody cherrypicks MU or KU. But Mecca presents himself as Mr. USC (because his father's brother's cousin's former roommate once had a layover at LAX) and never misses an opportunity to remind us all how much better his cherrypicked program (and every other super school that has ten times the resources we do) are.

It gets a little old.

If I wanted to cherry pick programs I wouldn't be a Chiefs fan....so that kinda blows that argument doesn't it?

I hated the Big 8 growing up because it was all option bullshit, sorry I chose a west coast team when i was 12 years old.

Because I'm critical of them? Don't they deserve it? Since they are making major changes I'll give them a bit more of the benefit of the doubt for a time.

I was heavily critical of SC for a long time, I'm way more critical of teams I like than ones I don't. Why would I care about teams I don't like?

FWIW, you seem to be a Chiefs fan the same way DEnise is a Chiefs fan. I don't put much stock in it.

And I really don't give a shit when you decided to find your super program - it really makes you no different than a typical "lifelong" Yankee fan from some place like Minneapolis who's never been within 1,000 miles of New York. Nobody really cares what such a person thinks about the local team that can't dump $300 million on payroll.
