Unsubstantiated Rumor: It will be Bill Cowher as Head Coach in 2009

I never understood the hatred for Cowher, just because he coached under Marty.

He's a good coach, who obviously has a relationship with Pioli.

I wouldn't call it hatred for Cowher, I actually like his intensity.

But there are a couple of reasons I am not a fan of Cowher, and that I would not be excited if this turned out to be true.

One is that he does have a bit of Martyocrity in his philosophy and the second reason is that, to this point in time, SB winning coaches haven't achieved the same level of success with teams that them after their SB success.

I am aware that it's a small sample size, so he could easily buck the trend, but until it happens, I remain leary.

However, since I'm out shopping, I'm going to see if I can find something that I actually like rather than settling for rice cakes.

But since I am not doing the shopping, I'm just going to have to settle for rice cakes if that's what the buyer buys me.
