1. According to the rule book, the celebration Santonio Holmes did after scoring the last TD was excessive celebration, and should have been a 15 yard penalty on the kick off. I realize people think it is a dumb rule, but you can't just let it slide when he CLEARLY used the ball as a prop in his celebration. It's been called all year - don't ignore it now.

2. On the Warner incomplete/fumble, a Pittsburgh player (I think Lamarr Woodley) took his helmet off to celebrate before the play had been whistled dead. Again, that is a 15 year penalty according to the rule book, and as Chiefs fans we have seen it called at the end of a game (Dwayne Rudd).

That is 30 extra yards Arizona should have had on the last drive of the game according to the NFL rule book.

With those 30 yards, they would have had a much better shot of getting a last second TD to win the game.

They dont usually call these in the SB..let em play. Plus Warner took his helmet off as well

Nobody knows for sure but Kurt Warner's "fumble" was a incomplete pass and there was a 15 year penalty...pretty sure the Cardinals would of had a shot at the end zone from 30 yards out with that tall receiver..what's his name...o ya...LARRY FITZGERALD

*An NFL spokesman said yesterday that the play was reviewed in the booth by replay assistant Bob McGrath. He determined that the play was clearly a fumble and there was no reason for referee Terry McAulay to review it.

Mike Pereira, the NFL's vice president of officiating, reviewed the play and confirmed it was called correctly, according to the spokesman.

"The play was reviewed and confirmed by the replay assistant in the booth," Greg Aiello, the NFL's senior vice president of public relations, said in a written statement. "That is standard procedure. If it is clear, there is no reason to send it to the referee. Mike Pereira said it was properly handled. It was a fumble."

On the replay, it appeared that the ball was knocked from Warner's hand and he no longer was in control of the ball by the time his arm was moving forward.

WTF are you talking about those are all the angles...the ball didn't leave his hand until it reached the end of his throwing motion then it went flying forward.....not down towards the ground or backward....forward pass genius!

It was a forward pass. The defender made contact with the bal but Warner muscled it through and had control as he pushed it forward. I know cause I saw it close up 47 times on ESPN today. Add to that, Holmes should have gotten a 15 yard penalty for using the ball as a prop and Fitz would have had a real chance at getting a jumpball touchdown. Obviously the refs affected the outcome.
