FTR, dumbasses can be found everywhere, and some of you might find it surprising, but the All Knowing, All Powerful Gaz is one of them.

But my plan [such as it is] would be to start Thigpen, barring a tremendous showing by one of the FA QBs or a stunningly dismal preformance by Thigpen.

Although our pass rush was truly dismal [bringing more that a few tears to my eyes], I do not consider any of the DEs worthy of the #3 pick. That's how it is for Chiefs fans, ennit? The Draft is loaded when we do not need a specific position & thin when we do. Or it IS loaded with talent & we take Todd Blackledge. Gah!

Sadly, the same is true for the Offensive Line. Our OL was better than the DL, but still way below what is required to succeed on the NFL. Still, this draft does not have an OLineman worthy of #3. We will have to augment both the OL & DL from later Rounds & FA.

That brings me to WR & LB. While it seems obvious [at least to me] that LB is considerably more needy than WR, the thought of Crabtree is intriguing.

Another valid possibility is Curry. We are in desperate need of LB help & I think that Curry is worth the #3 pick. Of course, the actual Defensive scheme for 2009 has not been set [since we do not yet have a DC], Curry can play in a 4-3 or 3-4 Defense.

As of now, I would favor Crabtree or Curry [with the dedicated Defense Homer in me leaning toward Curry]. That opinion [of course] will vacillate & waver as more information comes in.

Given the current state of our team, it is a bit sad to realize that we are still going to be a bad team for a couple of years. Too many holes, not enough fingers...

Well, I guess this explains how they get people to pay over $100 for a WPI subscription.

Awesome Gaz post. Although I don't agree about the QB part, at least he gives a well thought out, reasonable argument. I wish he would post more often.

The bigger question is, how the hell do any of these dumbasses have the wherewithall to earn $109.00?

I didn't know turning in cans for recycling paid that much.

All of his posts (this one came from fatchatter) are all well thought out and reasonable, but the fact is, he is wrong on just about every point.

Come on, Crabtree or Curry at #3?

That is just stupid.

Crabtree isn't the same kind of talent as that Fitzgerald or calvin Johnson were coming out, and you don't draft a stongside cover backer that high.

damn, some you guys need to get over yourselves....this forum is becoming more like DC...the obssession with WPI, the idea that anyone who doesn't agree must be ganged up on and beatdown...that idea that if the Chiefs pick who you want makes you smart, and if they don't then they become the dumbasses...I don't get it, most everyone was slobbing over last years' draft, choices made by acoach that is gone, replaced by two of the best personnel guys in the league...yet everyone thinks they know which player they should pick, when in fact we have no clue which direction they are going , or which needs are on their prioroty list..

seems like people's personal needs are more important than the teams...

Gaz isn't a dumbass because he's not on your wave of opinion. he just looks at it differently.

I don't know who Curry is. But yeah, I don't agree on Crabtree at #3. While I do think that Crabtree could be a solid NFL WR, he is not a #3 pick.

If the mods listed the words dumbass, stupid, ignorant, and idiot in the profanity filter there would be several posters who wouldn't be able to post a completed sentence.

Yeah, okay.

It's also too bad that we don't have the technology to have an intelligence filter, because while I might not be able to complete a sentence, you would not have been able to post at all.
